About the player
Aldry Contreras made his senior debut at Zulia FC, where he spent two seasons as a right-sided midfielder, making 19 appearances and scoring twice before moving on to Angostura FC. From there, his form earned him a move abroad: in September 2024 he joined Saudi Pro League side Al-Fayha FC on a season-long loan with an option to buy. His time in Saudi Arabia was brief, four appearances, before he returned to Angostura FC at the start of 2025.
Contreras moved again that July, joining Academia Anzoátegui on loan, with his contract there running to the end of 2026. He has continued playing as a right midfielder for the Venezuelan Primera División club.
Right-footed and right-sided by trade, Contreras has built his career so far on the loan circuit, shuttling between Venezuelan clubs and a spell overseas rather than settling at a single home. Born in El Vigía, he remains at club level for now.
