Abdoulaye Kamara

Kamara's career began at Paris Saint-Germain, where he progressed through the academy and reached the club's U19 level by the age of 14, training with the first team under Thomas Tuchel and Mauricio Pochettino without ever making a competitive senior appearance. The move to Borussia Dortmund in July 2021 was reported as significant for a player who was still only 16, but the senior breakthrough never quite came there either. He spent his three seasons with the club playing for Borussia Dortmund II in the 3. Liga, and his honours from that period came at youth level, winning the German U19 Bundesliga title and two A-Junioren-Bundesliga West championships. A four-year contract at Portsmouth in August 2024 offered a chance at senior football, though it yielded only a handful of appearances in his single season there. His move to 1. FC Saarbrücken in September 2025 came as a free transfer, and it is there that Kamara has started to accumulate consistent game time. Born in Conakry, Kamara remains eligible for Guinea through his birthplace and has received call-ups to the senior national squad, though he is yet to make his official debut for the side.
