Abzal Beisebekov

Beisebekov came through Kairat's youth academy and made his senior debut for the club in 2008 at the age of just 15. After Kairat's relegation he moved to Lokomotiv Astana in 2009, where he scored his first Premier League goal at 16, before returning to Kairat in 2010 following their promotion and then spending a season at Vostok.

He joined FC Astana in 2012 and has stayed with the club ever since, becoming captain in 2021. A loan spell took him to Polish side Korona Kielce for six months in 2014, and he later had a brief stint with Astana's reserve team in 2018. Primarily a right-back, he has also been used as a defensive midfielder and centre-back over the years.

With Astana, Beisebekov has built a decorated career: seven Premier League titles, two Kazakhstan Cups and five Kazakhstan Super Cups. In 2018 he was named the league's Best Right Back, and the following year Astana's fans voted him the best right-back in the club's history.

He made his debut for the Kazakhstan national team on 13 October 2014 in a Euro 2016 qualifier against the Czech Republic and has gone on to earn 49 caps, featuring in qualifying campaigns for Euro 2016, Euro 2020, and the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, as well as in the UEFA Nations League.
