Bledian Krasniqi

Bledian Krasniqi came through FC Zürich's own academy, joining the club's youth system in 2009 and working his way up to the U21 side before signing his first professional contract and making his senior debut in July 2018. Two seasons on loan at FC Wil, across 2019–20 and 2020–21, gave him regular first-team football before he returned to Zürich in 2021. A contract extension in March 2021 took him through to June 2024, and in July 2023 he signed again, this time until June 2026.

His breakthrough campaign came in 2021/22, when Zürich won the Swiss Super League title. He has also featured in European competition for the club, appearing in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League in 2022/23 and the Europa Conference League in 2024/25. On 28 July 2024, in a 4-2 win over FC Winterthur, Krasniqi scored the opening goal and added an assist in the same match.

Born in Zürich, Krasniqi chose to represent Kosovo at international level rather than Switzerland. He made his senior debut for the national team on 10 June 2025, coming on as a substitute in the 70th minute of a friendly against Comoros.
