B. Nwadike

Brian Nwadike arrived at Aalborg as a free transfer in July 2026, moving from Toin University of Yokohama FC to Danish football with no fee attached. His route there was untypical for a Superliga forward: rather than a professional academy, he came through Shutoku High School in Japan before spending his development years at university level, where he made 14 appearances and scored six goals for Toin University of Yokohama.

The clearest evidence of his quality has come with Japan's youth sides. Nwadike scored twice in a 3-0 friendly win over Ukraine with the Japan U21 side, and one of those goals came just 17 seconds into the match. That performance preceded his call-up to the U21 squad for the Asian Games U23 tournament. At U23 level he has been a regular scorer, with nine caps and four goals for Japan's U23 national team.

Standing at 190cm, Nwadike offers a physical profile that Aalborg will look to use as a focal point in attack. He plays on his right foot. Whether he can carry his university and youth-international scoring form into the Superliga remains the open question after his move; his senior international career with Japan has yet to begin.
