Bernardo Vital

Jagiellonia had taken a 3-0 lead into the game from the first leg in Białystok; Vital's dismissal in the closing minutes was enough to end the club's run in the competition.

He came through Benfica's youth system as a boy, then Torre, before joining Estoril Praia's academy at 14. He worked his way up through the youth ranks and made his first-team debut for Estoril in September 2020, going on to make 94 appearances, a spell that included the club's second-tier title win in 2020/21.

Vital left Estoril as a free agent in the summer of 2024 and signed for Real Zaragoza, making 33 appearances in Spain's Segunda División the following season without scoring. In July 2025 he moved on again, to Jagiellonia Białystok in Poland.

Vital has scored three goals in 27 Ekstraklasa appearances for Jagiellonia and added another in the Conference League, an unusually productive return for a defender. He has also won the Polish Cup and Polish Super Cup with the club. At international level, he has three caps for Portugal's under-21 side, having debuted against Georgia in September 2022.
