About the player
The forward started out at FK Radnički 1923, where he spent six years and became a title winner: Radnički took the 2020–21 Serbian First League and went up to the SuperLiga, a division in which Maksimović then played for two seasons. Across his time at the club he made 139 league appearances and scored 14 goals.
He left Serbia in 2023 for Hougang United in Singapore, and five goals in the Singapore Cup helped take Hougang to the final, which they lost to Lion City Sailors, and he added a brace against Haiphong in the AFC Cup group stage. The following year took him to Kozani in Greece, where on 22 May 2024 he scored his first career hat-trick in a 4–1 win over Aiolikos in the Greek Super League 2.
Since then his career has kept moving quickly: a spell at Gresik United in Indonesia later in 2024, then Montenegro's FK Jezero in 2025, before his free transfer to Atyrau in June 2026 on a contract until the end of 2027. He has not so far been capped by Serbia at senior level.
