Dmitri Tananeev

Tananeev was born in Tunis, where his parents were living at the time, though he holds Russian citizenship and grew up in football back home. His path through the game started in Moscow at CSO Lokomotiv before the family's move to the Rostov region took him through a string of regional academies and eventually into Rostov's own football school, where he stayed until 2015. From there he moved up into Rostov's reserve sides, turning out in the Youth League and Reserve Championship as well as the UEFA Youth League and Russian Youth League.

His senior career has been built on free transfers rather than fees, moving from Chayka to Nosta to Shinnik inside three seasons before signing for Rodina Moscow in 2021. At Rodina he has split time between the first team and the reserve side, Rodina-2, featuring in the First League and the Second League by turns as he pushed for a regular place.

The clearest run of first-team football came away from Moscow, on loan at Kamaz. Across 25 appearances in the First League he scored his first senior goal, levelling against Alania in a 1-1 draw, and added an assist, though the spell also included an own goal conceded against Tyumen. A second loan spell at Kamaz followed for the new season.
