About the player
Damian van der Haar is a defender through and through. He came to the club's academy in 2015, arriving from JVZ Zuidwolde in the town where he was born.
Van der Haar made his first-team debut in the 2023–24 Eredivisie season, the same campaign in which PEC Zwolle finished 12th under manager Johnny Jansen. He had signed his first professional contract two months into 2023, initially running to 2025, and in May 2025 he put pen to paper on a new deal that ties him to Zwolle until the summer of 2028.
