David Zima

David Zima came through the Sigma Olomouc academy and made his senior debut for the club in the 2019–20 season before Slavia Praha took him on loan in February 2020, with an option to buy that it exercised that August for a fee of around €1.3 million. He was named Czech Talent of the Year in 2020 and helped Slavia to the league title that season and the next.

In August 2021 Torino paid a reported €5 million to take him to Serie A, where he spent three seasons, making 34 league appearances without scoring, though he did find the net twice in the Coppa Italia, against Cittadella and Frosinone. He returned to Slavia Praha in January 2024 in a deal worth €4 million, a record transfer fee in the Czech First League at the time.

Zima made his international debut for the Czech Republic in November 2020 and has since won 26 caps, scoring his first goal for the national side against Norway in a friendly in March 2024. He was named in the Czech squad for Euro 2024, though he did not feature at the tournament, and has since been called up for the 2026 World Cup as well as Nations League duty.
