Dominik René Schwizer

Dominik Schwizer won a piece of silverware in Liechtenstein colours last season. On 20 May 2025, FC Vaduz came from two goals down to beat FC Balzers 3-2 in the Liechtenstein Cup final, with Fabrizio Cavegn scoring twice and Javier Navarro adding the third. Schwizer, restored to Vaduz as a permanent signing the previous May, had already known the club from the inside: a loan spell there between July 2019 and June 2020 produced 35 league appearances and five goals, a return that made his eventual permanent move feel less like a gamble than a formality.

The midfielder came through the youth ranks at FC Egg, FC Hinwil and Team Zürich-Oberland before joining FC Rapperswil-Jona, where he broke into the senior side in 2015 and helped the club win promotion from the 1. Liga in the 2016/17 season. That form took him to FC Thun in January 2018, in a move that saw him step into the side in place of Simone Rapp. He stayed at Thun for four years before leaving on a free transfer to FC Lausanne-Sport in June 2022, and a loan to Neuchâtel Xamax followed in early 2024 before his contract in Lausanne ran out.

Back at Vaduz since May 2024, Schwizer has established himself as a regular starter, with 14 league goals in 58 appearances for the club as of May 2026.
