About the player
Dylan Tait came through Partick Thistle's youth ranks before moving to the Fife Elite Football Academy, where his development led to a senior debut at Raith Rovers in 2019. Hibernian signed him in 2021, but he spent the following seasons out on loan — back to Raith Rovers, then Kilmarnock, Arbroath and Hamilton Academical.
The loan that mattered came in January 2024, when Tait joined Falkirk and helped the club win the Scottish League One title. He signed a two-year deal in June 2024 once his Hibernian contract expired. Every one of his transfers, including that switch to Falkirk, went through as a free move, with no fee recorded at any stage of his career.
He wore Falkirk's colours until his contract ran out, at which point he agreed a three-year deal with Dundee United in May 2026. Tait has not been capped by Scotland at senior level, nor has he featured for the Scotland under-21 side.
