About the player
Eduardo Ferreira did not choose an ordinary route into Porto's youth ranks. Born in Belém, the forward stepped up to the B team, and the early return has been a goal in five appearances for the senior reserve side.
His clearest calling card so far came in the UEFA Youth League, where he scored twice. That form has not gone unnoticed at international level either: Ferreira has been capped three times for Portugal's under-18 side, scoring once in that spell.
At club level, the record at that level remains short, but the return of a goal in his first handful of matches has been enough to keep his name attached to the group.
