Elione Fernandes Neto

Elione Fernandes Neto grew up in the German youth system rather than the Angolan one that his international eligibility points to. Born in Siegburg, he passed through FC Hennef and 1. FC Köln before Fortuna Düsseldorf's academy took him on, and it was there that his career had its first real marker: he made his senior debut at 17 years and 18 days old, the youngest player ever to appear for the club's first team.

That early breakthrough did not translate into a settled run in the side. Across two seasons with Fortuna Düsseldorf he made only 12 appearances in the 2. Bundesliga plus a single cup game, without scoring, and added one outing for the reserve team in the Regionalliga before the move that reshaped his career: a transfer to Red Bull Salzburg. He never made a senior appearance for Salzburg itself. Instead, the following seasons were spent on loan at FC Liefering, the Austrian club's feeder side, where he played 13 second-division matches without finding the net. There was a trophy along the way, though: a youth championship with Salzburg's under-18 side.

In February 2026 he moved on again, joining Czech club Hradec Králové. The financial terms of the switch were not disclosed. By May he had made 11 league appearances for his new side, still without a goal to his name. He is eligible to represent Angola internationally, though no record of a senior call-up has surfaced.
