Filip Ottosson

Filip Ottosson's path to IFK Göteborg ran almost entirely through the lower reaches of Swedish football. He came up through Eskilsminne IF, his youth club, and stayed on into the senior side, making 125 appearances and scoring 13 goals there before a brief spell at Västerås SK. He returned to Eskilsminne for a further season in 2020, adding 28 more appearances and seven goals.

The move that changed his career came in December 2020, when he joined Landskrona BoIS. Over two seasons he made 54 league appearances and scored seven goals, and in 2021 he led the team in assists. In February 2023 he signed for Sandefjord Fotball in Norway on a free transfer. He was handed the captaincy there in 2024, and in the 2023 Eliteserien season he played every single minute available, 2,700 in total. He went on to make 89 appearances and score four goals for the club.

In September 2025 Ottosson agreed a four-year contract with IFK Göteborg, again on a free transfer, taking effect from the start of 2026. Before a loan move to Norwegian side Lillestrøm SK in September 2026. He has never won a senior cap for Sweden, though he trained with the national under-21 squad in 2018. Around his clubs, he is known simply as "Otto".
