About the player
Flavius Iacob spent eight seasons at Corvinul Hunedoara, the club that developed him from academy level, working his way up through Liga IV, Liga III and Liga II before reaching the Romanian top flight with the same side. Iacob won the district Liga IV title with the club in 2017–18, then Liga III twice, in 2021–22 and 2022–23. In 2023 Corvinul added the Romanian Cup, and the following year the club reached the Romanian Super Cup final.
Last season took him away from the club that made him for the first time, on loan to CFR Cluj with a purchase option attached.
Since 1 July, Iacob has been on loan at UTA Arad, on a free deal that also carries a buy option, running until the end of June next year. He has yet to be called up by Romania at any level.
