About the player
Frans Krätzig came through Bayern Munich's academy after leaving 1.
The path to regular senior football ran through loan spells away from Munich. He joined FK Austria Wien in February 2024, scoring once in 14 appearances. A second loan, to 1. FC Heidenheim in January 2025, proved more productive, yielding 16 appearances and a goal.
In May 2025, Krätzig left Bayern Munich permanently, signing for Red Bull Salzburg for a fee of around €3.5 million on a contract running to 2028, with Bayern retaining a buy-back option. At international level, he has represented Germany at both under-20 and under-21 level, scoring once in eight caps for the U20s.
