Henrique Sarmengue Devens

Henrique Sarmengue Devens was born in Aracruz, Espírito Santo, and came through the youth ranks at Espírito Santo before moving to the United States, where he played college soccer for the Tri-Cities Otters and then Tusculum Pioneers, with a loan spell at The Villages SC along the way.

Signing for Babrungas in 2021, he scored 14 goals in just 11 appearances, then added 10 more in 25 games during a loan spell at DFK Dainava. A move to Bulgaria's Krumovgrad followed, though it proved a quiet one — nine appearances without a goal before he left by mutual consent. He returned to Lithuania with FK TransINVEST, where he scored 38 goals in 59 appearances across 2023 and 2024. He finished as the Lithuanian First League's top scorer in 2023 with 22 goals, a season in which the club won both the league and the Lithuanian Cup, and he was named the division's most prolific player at the 2023 TOPsport Lithuanian Football Awards.

Since then he has moved frequently: a brief stint at Qatar's Al Bidda SC, a return to Lithuania with FK Žalgiris, where he scored four goals in 15 league games, and then a switch to Kazakhstan with Tobol Kostanay in July 2025. He made eight appearances there, scoring once, and was part of the squad that won the 2025 Kazakhstan Cup, though he did not feature in the final against Ordabasy. Tobol also finished third in the Kazakhstan Premier League that season.

Devens joined Atyrau as a free agent in March 2026. He scored his first goal for the club against Altai in May, having made his debut against Ordabasy the previous month.
