Javier María Vázquez López

Javier María Vázquez López came through Sevilla's academy and stayed inside the club's structure for years without ever getting a league minute for the first team. He made his debut in the Copa del Rey in November 2018, and by the 2019–20 season he was part of the squad that won the UEFA Europa League, though he did not appear in league matches that campaign.

His progress came instead through loan and reserve football. At Sevilla Atlético he built up regular minutes across three seasons, then left for UD Ibiza in 2021, a move that paid off almost immediately: he was part of the squad that secured Ibiza's historic promotion to Segunda División at the end of that first season. A loan to Racing Santander followed in early 2022, and there too he found himself on a promotion-winning side, helping the club win the Primera División RFEF title and go up to Segunda División.

Spells at CD Lugo preceded his move to S.C.U. Torreense in July 2024, where he has become an established figure at left-back. The 2025–26 season has been his most productive by output, with four goals and seven assists in Liga Portugal 2 making him the club's top assist provider. That campaign also brought the biggest moment of his career: he was part of the Torreense squad that won the 2025–26 Taça de Portugal, beating Sporting CP 2–1 in the final.
