About the player
Jens Stryger Larsen came through the youth ranks at Brøndby IF and made his senior debut there in 2009, before a free move to FC Nordsjælland in 2013. A switch to Austria Wien followed a year later, and three solid seasons in Vienna earned him a move to Udinese in 2017, where he settled for five years in Serie A.
From Udinese, Larsen joined Trabzonspor in 2022 on a free transfer and won the Turkish Super Cup that year. His return to Scandinavia came in 2024, when he signed for Malmö FF.
At international level, Larsen has been a regular for Denmark, earning 54 caps and scoring three goals. He was part of the squad at the 2018 World Cup in Russia and the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and he featured for Denmark's run to the semi-finals of Euro 2020. He was not included in the squad for Euro 2024, and his last cap for the national side came in September 2023.
Early in his career, Larsen was nominated for the Årets Talent award as Denmark's young player of the year in 2010, though he lost out to Christian Eriksen. He has not added an individual honour since.
