Juan Muñoz

Juan Muñoz arrived at União de Leiria in July 2024 on a free transfer. He finished the 2024–25 Liga Portugal 2 campaign as joint top scorer with 15 goals, was named Player of the Month for March 2025, and earned a place in the division's Team of the Year.

He came through at Sevilla, joining Sevilla B in 2014 before working his way into the first team. Rather than settling in Andalusia, he spent several seasons out on loan, first at Real Zaragoza, then briefly at Levante, then at UD Almería. In 2018 he left Sevilla for good, signing with AD Alcorcón as a free agent. That move paid off immediately: he scored 13 goals in the Segunda División in the 2018–19 season. He went on to spend four seasons in Leganés colours before taking his career abroad for the first time, joining Polish side Zagłębie Lubin in July 2023.

At youth level, Muñoz was capped twice by Spain's under-19 side in 2014, scoring on both occasions, though he never progressed to senior international football.

Now plying his trade at União de Leiria.
