Kaleigh Ann Riehl

Kaleigh Ann Riehl grew up in Fairfax Station, Virginia, and spent eleven years with the Braddock Road Youth Club before her college career at Penn State. Between 2015 and 2019 she became the NCAA's all-time leader in minutes played by a position player, and she helped Penn State win the 2015 national championship. She was named Big Ten Defender of the Year in 2018 and picked up First Team All-American honours that year, with Second Team recognition following in 2019.

Drafted 11th overall by Sky Blue FC in 2020, she was loaned to Paris FC that same year before being picked up by Racing Louisville in the NWSL Expansion Draft. San Diego Wave then selected her in their own expansion draft, making 22 appearances in 2022 and 19 in 2023 as San Diego won the NWSL Shield. Utah Royals acquired her in 2024 in a trade that sent $60,000 in allocation money to San Diego along with expansion protection, and she made her debut for the club against Chicago Red Stars, playing the full match.

At international level, Riehl has represented the United States at under-18, under-20 and under-23 level, starting for the U-20s at the 2016 World Cup as the team reached the semi-finals. A senior USWNT cap has so far eluded her, though she was called into a national team identification camp in December 2019.
