About the player
Tatumn Milazzo's college career ended not on her own terms but with an ACL tear near the end of her senior season at South Carolina in 2019 — a cruel finish to a run that had already taken her to a Women's College Cup semi-final in 2017 and three SEC Regular Season titles with the Gamecocks. Across four years there she made 80 appearances, starting all but one, and was named to the Second-team All-SEC.
She reached the NWSL without the fanfare of a draft pick, signing with the Chicago Red Stars as a supplemental roster player in April 2021 despite reports at the time suggesting otherwise. It proved a solid foothold: over four seasons in Chicago she made 71 regular-season appearances and scored four goals, her busiest year coming in 2022 with 22 appearances and two goals. When the Red Stars declined her contract option, she signed with the Utah Royals as a free agent in January 2025 on a two-year deal.
At Utah, Milazzo operates as a defender capable of playing either left-back or centre-back. She has yet to earn a senior cap for the United States but was a regular presence in youth national team camps from the U-14 through U-18 levels.
