Kirill Kaplenko

Kirill Kaplenko came up through Dinamo Minsk's youth ranks before a brief spell at BATE Borisov's academy as a teenager, then left Belarus for Krasnodar's youth setup and, in 2017, for Zenit Saint Petersburg. He spent five years attached to the St Petersburg club, mostly with the reserve side Zenit-2, and made two appearances for the first team in the 2017/18 Russian Premier League, debuting against Ufa, plus one outing in the Russian Cup. He was on the books during Zenit's league-winning seasons of 2018 and 2019 and their 2019/20 Cup triumph, though his part in those campaigns was limited to the margins of the squad. His career took shape away from Zenit. Sent on loan to Orenburg from 2020, he became a regular contributor as the club finished as FNL runners-up in 2020/21 and took bronze the following season, form that turned the loan into a permanent transfer in 2022. That spell at Orenburg proved the springboard for a run of moves in Russian football: to Baltika Kaliningrad in February 2024 after a buyout clause was triggered, then to Khimki that August, and to Spartak Kostroma in August 2025. Kaplenko returned to Belarus in January 2026 with Dinamo Minsk, before joining BATE Borisov as a free agent in July 2026 on a contract running to the end of the year. The move brought him back to the club where he first trained as a boy. He has not been capped by the Belarus national team.
