Lewis Koumas

Lewis Koumas grew up around the game through his father, Jason Koumas, a former professional footballer. He announced himself at Liverpool in an FA Cup tie against Southampton in February 2024, scoring on his senior debut in a 3–0 win, and was an unused substitute as the club lifted the EFL Cup that season.

The following year he went out on loan to Stoke City, where he became a regular fixture, making 49 appearances across all competitions and scoring six goals. Among them were a brace against Cardiff City and a winning goal against Wrexham.

A loan at Birmingham City followed for the 2025–26 season, where he scored once in 25 appearances before Liverpool recalled him in January 2026. He was sent straight back out, this time to Hull City, and made 19 Championship appearances for the club, scoring three goals. He was part of the Hull squad that won the 2026 EFL Championship play-offs, sealing promotion to the Premier League.

Koumas has progressed through Wales' youth ranks at Under-19 and Under-21 level, scoring at both, before earning a senior call-up. His first cap for the national team came in a friendly against Ghana in June 2026, and he marked it with a goal.
