About the player
Sandgrav is Lyngby's own — a product of the club's academy after arriving from Virum-Sorgenfri BK at the age of twelve. He made his professional debut on 16 December 2020 in the Danish Cup against SønderjyskE, becoming the club's youngest ever player at 16 years and three months, and followed it five months later with a Superliga debut against Odense that made him the youngest player ever to appear in the league for Lyngby.
In November 2024 he signed a contract extension running until 2028. That trust paid off in the 2025/2026 season, when he made 29 appearances in the 1. Division, scored twice and set up five goals as Lyngby won the league and secured promotion back to the Superliga. He has continued in the top flight since, with seven appearances in the 2026/2027 Superliga season.
Internationally, Sandgrav has moved steadily up through the Danish youth ranks, from the U16 side — where he scored once in seven caps — through the U17, U18, U19 and U20 levels. At the 2025 Maurice Revello Tournament he scored for the U20s in a 3-3 draw against Mexico.
