Instead, Arsenal sent him out on a string of loans: to RKC Waalwijk, where he made his senior debut and scored his first professional goals, then to Motherwell, and finally to SK Sturm Graz.
It was in Austria that the move paid off. That form persuaded Monaco to pay a base fee of €13 million, plus a further €2 million in add-ons, to bring him to the principality in January 2025.
Denmark called him up shortly before the Sturm Graz move was completed, handing him his senior debut in a Nations League match against Portugal in September 2024. He has since earned nine caps, with his only goal coming in a friendly against Lithuania in June 2025.
