Mariusz Fornalczyk

In March 2025 Fornalczyk was named Ekstraklasa Young Player of the Month, the high point of a season at Korona Kielce in which he made 30 appearances and scored four goals. Widzew Łódź activated the release clause in his contract, paying Korona €1.5 million to bring him to Łódź on a five-year deal running to June 2029.

He came through at Polonia Bytom in his home city, and was still a teenager when he made his senior debut for the club in the fourth tier in 2018. Two IV Liga titles followed — Silesia Group II in 2017/18 and Group I in 2018/19 — along with the regional Polish Cup. Across two seasons in the senior side he played 33 times and scored three goals.

Pogoń Szczecin signed him in 2020. The first-team route proved slow: around 50 appearances and three goals spread over three and a half years, with most of his football played for the reserves, where he scored six times in 18 matches, and half a season on loan at Bruk-Bet Termalica Nieciecza. He did win the Polish U19 Championship with Pogoń in 2020/21.

Right-footed but deployed mainly on the left wing, he has represented Poland at U17, U19, U20 and U21 level without a senior cap to date. He scored against Kosovo in qualifying for the 2025 UEFA U21 European Championship and started in the finals, where he won a penalty against Georgia and had a goal disallowed.
