About the player
Long before he wore Dynamo Kyiv's first-team shirt, Maksym Dyachuk had already left his mark against one of the biggest names in youth football. In the 2021/22 UEFA Youth League group stage he played every minute of Dynamo's U19 campaign and scored in a 4-1 win over Barcelona's youth side.
He worked his way up through DySSh Rahiv, Nyva Ivano-Frankivsk and Skala Morshyn before joining Dynamo's academy in 2019 and being promoted to the senior squad the following year. His route into regular first-team football ran through a loan: at Oleksandriya he made his Ukrainian Premier League debut on 2 October 2022 against Chornomorets Odesa, playing the full match in a 2-1 win, and stayed with the club until June 2024.
Back at Dynamo, he was part of the squad that won the Ukrainian Premier League in 2024/25, a year after finishing as runners-up. In August 2024, a Champions League qualifier against Partizan saw Dyachuk taken off on a stretcher with an acromioclavicular joint injury following a header duel, though Dynamo went on to win the match 3-0.
He has since gone out on loan again, to Poland's Lechia Gdańsk for the 2025/26 season, where he scored his first goal for a club outside Ukraine in November 2025 against Termalica BB, before a further loan move to Czech side Baník Ostrava. He remains under contract with Dynamo Kyiv until 2028. At international level, Dyachuk has represented Ukraine at both under-17 and under-23 level.
