Maxim Shevchenko

Maxim Shevchenko was born in Lviv and spent six years in the youth ranks at BATE Borisov before moving into the Dinamo Minsk academy. He stayed with Dinamo through his senior years there but never made a first-team appearance for the club, and the breakthrough instead came on loan. Sent to Baranovichi in February 2023, he scored nine goals in 27 matches as the club finished sixth in the Belarusian First League.

A brief spell at Minsk followed in 2024, where he featured mainly from the bench in four appearances without scoring, and the move was ended by mutual consent that August. Shevchenko went straight back to Baranovichi, this time on a permanent free transfer, and closed out the 2024 season with two goals in eleven league appearances. The following year he became a key part of the side that won the Belarusian First League title and secured promotion to the Premier League, and he extended his contract with the club in January 2026.

He opened his account at the higher level on 23 August 2026, equalising in the 62nd minute of a 1:1 draw with Dinamo Brest after Denis Kovalevich had put the visitors ahead. Earlier in his career, Shevchenko was called up to the Ukraine under-17 side in 2018 and took part in European Championship qualifiers at that level.
