Martín Hiriart came through the academy at Universidad Católica before making the move to Unión La Calera on loan, a switch that took him out of Santiago and into first-team men's football. At 20, the Chilean forward is still in the early stages of a career that has yet to produce the kind of moment that defines a player's profile — no headline goal, no marquee transfer, no call-up to speak of.

What is known so far is the shape of the path rather than its highlights: a young striker developed inside one of Chile's traditional academy systems, then sent out to gain minutes elsewhere. That loan spell at Unión La Calera, running through 2025, has been the main chapter of his story to date.

Wearing number 17, Hiriart remains a work in progress on the pitch, with his record at senior level still to be filled in.
