About the player
Tommaso Saccavino's career has run largely below the professional radar. Born in Maddaloni, he started out in the Primavera side of US Avellino before a single season at Mantova 1911, where he made seven appearances in Serie D.
From there his path turned towards San Marino, joining Gladiatore 1924 for the 2018–2019 season and then moving on to SS Faetano in the Campionato Sammarinese. In September 2020 he returned closer to home on loan, joining SSD Maddalonese to play in the Eccellenza Campania, where he stayed until leaving the club in July 2022. He then went back to Gladiatore 1924, remaining with the San Marino club through the 2025–2026 season.
He has been confirmed in the squad for both the 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 seasons, and has already logged 214 minutes of league action for the club. A central midfielder, he has not featured for Italy or San Marino at senior international level, despite his years spent playing for San Marino-based sides.
