Minshi Liu

Liu Minshi came through the local pipeline in Chongqing, having risen through the youth academy of Chongqing Furen High School, the main source of talent when Chongqing Tongliang Long was founded. Before settling into that project he had spent time training and playing in Guizhou, though the details of that move were never made public. When he joined Tongliang Long for the 2023 season, the club was still in China League Two.

In that first season he made only two league appearances and two in the FA Cup, but the team won the League Two title and went up to China League One. Liu's role grew from there: 21 appearances in 2024, then 23 in 2025 with a goal and three assists as he established himself as a regular. He scored in the Chinese FA Cup against Shandong Taishan in 2024, and the following year struck early against Shenzhen Young Lions. Chongqing Tongliang Long finished second in League One in 2025, enough for a second successive promotion, this time into the Chinese Super League, where Liu has continued to feature regularly in 2026.

He plays as a right-back or right wing-back, right-footed, and his career so far has been built entirely inside the domestic pyramid rather than through transfer fees. He has not been capped by China at any level, senior or youth, and his story remains that of a player who has grown alongside a club making its own rapid climb through the divisions.
