About the player
Miro spent his youth football far from the leagues that would eventually notice him, coming through Atlético Aviação in Luanda before Portuguese football pulled him across the Atlantic. At Gil Vicente's academy he scored 22 goals in 36 Liga Revelação matches, and by January 2024, into the scoresheet at first-team level.
Across the 2024/25 season he finished as top scorer in Liga Portugal 2 with ten goals, a haul that carried the club to the championship and promotion to the Primeira Liga, where he then made four appearances.
He wasted little time settling into Russian football. His debut came in the Russian Cup against Pari NN, and days later he scored on his Russian Premier League debut against Lokomotiv Moscow, finding the net in the 90+5th minute. For Angola, the left-footed forward has earned caps at senior international level, scoring for his country as well as his clubs.
His path since leaving Angola has been steady rather than sudden: two academy years in Portugal, a breakout scoring season that won a title, and now a first taste of European travel further east.
