He had come up at Argentinos Juniors, making his senior debut in the 2017–18 season, and moved to Atlético Madrid in July 2018 for around €2.0 million. What followed was defined by loans rather than by minutes in Madrid: back to Argentinos Juniors for the second half of 2018–19, then Famalicão, then Granada in La Liga, then Udinese. The Italian club had seen enough by July 2022 to exercise its option, paying Atlético €8.0 million.

Two years at Udinese ended in August 2024 with a loan to FC Porto, again with an option attached. Porto took it up, signing him permanently in June 2025 for a fee of €13.0–13.25 million within a total package of €17 million. He won the Primeira Liga with the club in 2024–25 and the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira in 2025–26. The Taça de Portugal went differently: Porto were knocked out in the fourth round of the 2024–25 edition by Moreirense.

With Argentina he has three senior caps, the first against Honduras on 23 September 2022, followed by matches against El Salvador and Costa Rica in March 2024. He was part of the squad that won the Copa de Campeones CONMEBOL-UEFA in 2022, and had won the CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament with the under-23 side in 2020.

In September 2025 he suffered a serious Achilles injury that ruled him out for the rest of the 2025–26 season.
