About the player
Noah Engelbreth came through the youth ranks first at VfB Fortuna Biesdorf before moving to 1. FC Union Berlin in 2017, where he progressed through every junior level. He captained Union Berlin's U19 side in the 2023/24 Junioren-Bundesliga Nord/Nordost campaign, a season in which he scored 12 goals and set up a further seven in 22 league appearances, and he added a goal in six UEFA Youth League outings that year. Union Berlin signed him as a free agent in 2024, though he never featured for the senior side before leaving for Hannover 96 that May.
At Hannover he joined the club's second team in the 3. Liga, making his debut off the bench against SV Sandhausen in August 2024. He has made 40 league appearances for the side and scored three goals. He signed a contract running to 2029 in September 2025.
Engelbreth has trained with Hannover's first team since late 2025 and was named as an unused substitute for a 2. Bundesliga fixture against Energie Cottbus, though a competitive senior debut has yet to arrive. The defensive midfielder has not been capped by Germany at any youth level.
