Nurasyl Tokhtarov

Nurasyl Tokhtarov has never played for another club. Born in Aktobe, he came through the Atyrau academy and stayed within the system, spending six years with the reserve side, Atyrau M, in the Kazakhstan Second League between 2018 and 2023, making around 74 appearances there before returning for further spells in 2024 and 2025. He signed his first professional contract with the main club in February 2023, though the step up to senior football took a while longer to arrive.

The promotion came on 1 July 2024, when he moved into the main squad and made his Kazakhstan Premier League debut. His minutes since have come in short bursts rather than a settled run: two league appearances in his debut season alongside outings in the Kazakhstan Cup and League Cup, followed by six Premier League appearances and a Cup appearance in 2025, and a further four league games and one Cup tie so far in 2026. Atyrau extended his contract on 5 December 2024, tying him to the club until the end of 2026.

His clearest mark on the club's history came in the 2024 Kazakhstan Cup, when Atyrau reached the final and Tokhtarov was part of the squad for that run, though the team came away as runners-up. He has yet to be capped at any level of the Kazakhstan national team setup, youth or senior.
