About the player
Oscar Haggström's breakthrough came not at Turku PS but in the Klubi 04 shirt, when he scored the opening goal in the 2023 Ykkönen promotion play-off against Tampere United. He had joined the HJK system in January 2022 after coming through Kulosaaren Palloseura and Käpylän Pallo.
When his contract at HJK ran out, Haggström moved on a free transfer to TPS Turku in January 2024. His contract at TPS runs until 2027.
The defender has also worked his way through Finland's youth ranks, collecting caps for the under-18, under-19 and under-21 sides, including an appearance in Euro U19 qualification. He has yet to be called into the senior national team.
