About the player
Oliver Månsson came through his own backyard before anyone at IFK Göteborg knew his name. He started out at IF Böljan, the local club in Falkenberg, before the academy picked him up at the age of 12. Five years later that path paid off: he signed his first professional contract with IFK Göteborg in March 2026.
The breakthrough followed quickly. Månsson made his senior debut on 4 May 2026 against Djurgårdens IF at 16 years and nine months old, making him the seventh-youngest player ever to appear for the club's first team. He also became the third-youngest to feature for IFK Göteborg in the Swedish Cup.
Since then, the midfielder has not looked like a one-off inclusion. He has made 15 appearances for the senior side, eight of them in Allsvenskan, with further outings in the UEFA Conference League. The numbers on the scoresheet are modest so far, two assists and no goals.
Månsson remains a product of the club's own pipeline, having never been sent out on loan.
