About the player
Rodrigo Freitas came through the youth ranks at Cova da Piedade and Amora before joining F.C. Alverca, who sent him on loan to Estoril Praia for the 2021–22 season. There he featured 11 times in the Liga Revelação and the Sub-23 cup competition. He returned to Alverca and made his senior debut on 11 March 2023, though his four league appearances there passed without a goal.
The forward's numbers picked up after he moved to Varzim for the 2024–25 season, when he scored once in the league and twice in the cup across 22 and three appearances respectively.
