Rostyslav Lyakh

Rostyslav Lyakh came through the academy system in western Ukraine. His debut spell there was brief, and a loan to Karpaty Halych in the 2020/21 season gave him regular football away from Lviv before he returned in January 2021.

The bigger step came with his move to Rukh Lviv as a free agent in 2020. He became a regular fixture in defence and passing 80 appearances for the first team. The high point of his time in Lviv came in the 2022/23 season, when Rukh Lviv were crowned champions of Ukraine, with Lyakh part of the squad.

He has also represented Ukraine at youth level, appearing for the under-18, under-19 and under-21 sides, scoring once for the under-19s. A call-up to the senior national team has not followed.

In January 2026, Lyakh returned to Karpaty Lviv, this time as a permanent signing rather than an academy graduate, on a contract running to the summer of 2028. The transfer brought him back to the club where his senior career began, closing a loop that started with a handful of appearances there in 2019 and 2020.
