Samuel Oluwabukunmi Adeniran

Extra time against Celtic in the 2026 Champions League play-off, and Adeniran had already scored once.

He arrived in Linz in January 2025 on a free transfer, his Philadelphia Union contract having expired, and signed until May 2028. Since then he has scored 14 goals in 46 appearances. He was part of the side that won the 2025–26 Austrian Bundesliga and the Austrian Cup, and he scored twice in the cup final as LASK beat Altach 4–2.

He turned professional with CD Leganés B in 2018 without playing for the B team, was loaned immediately to Chacarita Juniors in Argentina, and saw that loan cut short in April 2018 as part of an exchange deal. He then dropped into German regional football with Kickers Emden, scoring 6 in 13 in the Oberliga Niedersachsen, and later SV Atlas Delmenhorst, where the season was cancelled during the pandemic and he asked to leave in January 2021.

Thirteen goals in 30 games for Tacoma Defiance earned a permanent Seattle Sounders contract in December 2021, and a loan at San Antonio FC produced 12 goals in 23 games plus the winning goal in the USL Championship final against Louisville City. Seattle traded him to St. Louis City SC in December 2022, where he scored 10 in 35 league games in 2023, took the MLS Goal of the Matchday fan vote for a strike against Austin FC, and was named to the Team of the Matchday after a brace against San Jose. A red card followed against LA Galaxy that September.
