Szilveszter Hangya

He came up through MTK Budapest's youth ranks, signed his first professional contract there in 2011 and won the Nemzeti Bajnokság II title with the club that same season, though first-team opportunities stayed scarce — three league appearances in three years, plus a loan spell at Dunaújváros PASE.

The move that gave him a regular role came in 2015, when he joined Vasas SC on a free transfer. He was part of the side that won the Nemzeti Bajnokság II title and promotion in his first season there, then went on to make 97 league appearances over three years as Vasas established themselves back in the top division.

A reported transfer fee of around €600,000 took him to Fehérvár FC in July 2018. He made 74 league appearances and won the Magyar Kupa with the club in the 2018–19 season. His market value peaked at roughly €270,000 during his time there.

Hangya left Fehérvár on a free transfer in September 2024, joining Budapest Honvéd. He racked up 53 appearances across his first two seasons at the club, including 28 league games in 2025–26.

At international level, the left-back made his senior Hungary debut as a substitute against Sweden in November 2016 and has since earned ten caps, featuring in Euro 2020 qualifying and Nations League fixtures as well as a 2022 World Cup qualifier against Andorra. He also came through the Hungary U21 set-up, collecting 11 caps between 2014 and 2016.
