About the player
His footballing education began at Turbo Fútbol Club in Turbo, Antioquia, and in 2014 he moved to Bogotá to join an academy with German roots, a connection that opened the door to youth spells at Red Bull Salzburg in Austria and then SC Freiburg in Germany. He returned to Colombia to launch his senior career.
That career started at Alianza Petrolera in the Colombian Primera División, where he spent roughly two and a half years, moving through the under-20 setup before establishing himself with the first team. In late 2022 he joined Real Santander in the Categoría Primera B, a stay that lasted around three and a half years.
On 30 January 2026, Orejuela signed for Rayo Zuliano in Venezuela's Liga FUTVE on a free transfer, a move he owed to a connection with a Venezuelan coach he had known since his youth days in Bogotá.
