About the player
Antwerp handed Semm Renders his senior debut on 6 October 2024, sending him on as a substitute against Cercle Brugge. He was sixteen years old when he signed his first professional contract with the club that August.
The route there ran through three academies. Renders moved to Antwerp in 2020. No club paid a fee for him at any stage — every step was an internal one, from one youth set-up to the next and then into the first team.
Since the debut he has divided his time between the two squads at Antwerp. By the middle of 2026 he had made around 33 appearances for the first team and 16 for the reserve side, the Young Reds, playing at right-back.
He won two caps at under-18 level in 2024. In 2025 he added one at under-19 and two at under-21.
Renders was born in Geel and wears the number 17 shirt at Antwerp.
