Stefan Schwab

Stefan Schwab came through the Red Bull Salzburg academy, spending two years with the club's Juniors side before loan spells at FC Lustenau 07 and Admira Wacker gave him regular first-team football. At Admira Wacker he helped the club win the Austrian First League and earn promotion, then stayed on permanently, scoring 15 goals in 90 appearances before Rapid Wien signed him in June 2014 for a fee of €400,000.

Rapid Wien became the club where Schwab left his mark. He made 241 appearances in all competitions, scored 51 goals and captained the side from 2017 to 2020. He was Rapid's top scorer in the 2017–18 season with 12 league goals.

He moved to PAOK on a free transfer in 2020, signing a two-year deal with an option for a third. Over five seasons in Thessaloniki he made 158 league appearances and scored 23 goals, won the Greek Super League in 2023–24 and the Greek Cup in 2020–21, and was named PAOK's Player of the Month in August 2021. That same September he was selected for the 12terMann Legionärself.

Schwab left PAOK for Holstein Kiel on a free transfer in June 2025, making 24 appearances in Germany before returning to Austria a year later to sign for SV Ried.

At international level, Schwab has one cap for Austria, earned on 14 November 2017 when he came on as a substitute for Marcel Sabitzer in a friendly against Uruguay.
