About the player
Thorsten Schriebl was born in Oberwart. He came through the youth ranks at SV Oberwart before moving into senior football with SC Mariasdorf and then SK Unterschützen, where he made 52 appearances. A productive spell at SV Stegersbach followed, with 14 goals in 56 games, and by the time he joined SV Lafnitz in 2018 he had established himself as a regular in the lower tiers of Austrian football. At Lafnitz he made 74 appearances in the 2. Liga, scoring five goals, while also turning out for the club's reserve side.
Grazer AK signed the midfielder on a free transfer in June 2022. Schriebl was a key player as GAK won the Austrian 2. Liga title in the 2023/24 season, a result that took the club into the Bundesliga for the first time in its modern history. He made 48 league appearances during that promotion campaign. He went on to make 44 Bundesliga appearances across the 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons.
In July 2026 Schriebl moved on again, joining Wolfsberger AC on a free transfer.
