Talgat Kusyapov

Talgat Kusyapov joined FC Astana's youth setup in 2015 after coming through Kaspiy Aktau, having also spent a year with FC Kairat's academy, and made his senior debut for Astana in 2017. In 2018 he went to Okzhetpes, helping the club win the First Division and reach the Premier League. A year later he was loaned to Kaspiy Aktau, who finished as First Division runners-up, before a second Okzhetpes loan in 2020 and a return to Kaspiy in 2021.

That 2021 spell at Kaspiy produced his most distinctive spell of form. Kusyapov scored the winner against Turan, a goal named the Kazakhstan Cup's Best Goal of the Month for August, and finished the season with seven goals in the competition — an unusual return for a defender and enough to make him the competition's top-scoring defender that year. A third loan to Kaspiy followed in 2023.

Through all this, Kusyapov's parent club remained Astana, and he was registered there during two of the club's Premier League title-winning seasons, in 2019 and 2022. His involvement in those campaigns stayed limited, with sixteen league appearances and one goal, plus six cup appearances and another goal, across his time at the club. In July 2024 he left for good, joining Russian side KamAZ on a free transfer, then returned to Kazakhstan a year later, signing for Aktobe in July 2025.

Kusyapov has represented Kazakhstan at under-17, under-19 and under-21 level, though a senior call-up has yet to follow.
