About the player
Born in Amsterdam, Tiago Süer Barbaros Çukur came up through Feyenoord's academy before joining AZ Alkmaar, where he turned professional. Watford signed him as a free agent, and a loan spell took him to Doncaster Rovers before he returned to Watford. Fenerbahçe brought him to Turkey, though his time there was spent almost entirely away from Istanbul: loan moves to Dender, Waasland-Beveren and Ümraniyespor kept him on the move across two countries and three competitions.
The clearest run of form came at Roda JC, where a move to the Dutch second tier finally gave him a settled role. He started 31 league matches in the 2024–2025 season and scored six goals. That season prompted his switch to Fatih Karagümrük.
Internationally, Çukur has represented Turkey at underage level, with caps for the under-17s and the under-21s, and he has also earned a senior appearance, making his debut against Lithuania in the UEFA Nations League.
