Tiberiu Ionuț Căpușă

Tiberiu Căpușă came through the Gheorghe Hagi Academy at Viitorul Constanța, having arrived there from FCM Bacău as a boy, and worked his way into the senior side in 2017. First-team football did not come easily at Viitorul, and two loan spells followed, first at Universitatea Cluj and then at Chindia Târgoviște, where he made 33 appearances and scored his first senior goal. Chindia made the move permanent in 2021, and it was there that Căpușă became a regular, racking up 67 league appearances before a free transfer took him to UTA Arad in September 2023.

A year later, in July 2024, he joined AFC Hermannstadt on a free transfer, going on to make 63 league appearances for the club and scoring once.

Căpușă's only senior international appearance came on 6 June 2021, when he was brought on as a substitute for Romania against England, replacing Deian Sorescu in the 66th minute. Within minutes of entering the pitch he fouled Jack Grealish in the penalty area; Marcus Rashford converted the resulting spot kick, and Romania lost 1–0. Before that cap he had passed through Romania's youth ranks at U17, U18, U19 and U21 level.
